I'm sitting in the Birmingham airport, getting ready for our cross country trip back to Phoenix and I can't help but count the blessings we've been given. The weather has been perfect, we were able to experience some true Alabama football tailgating, we were able to spend some great time with friends and family, and we were just so blessed with the random meetings God orchestrated. Overall, it was an incredible time.
Now begins the crazy travel schedule that will be our holiday season and moving into the New Year. We will spend the next couple of weeks in Phoenix to celebrate Thanksgiving and the marriage of Tara's aunt, Lorie, who gets married in just a couple of days. Shortly after that, we head to south LA to spend Christmas with Will's brother, sister-in-law, niece, and soon to be, Baby #2. We found out the day after our wedding that Kathryn, our sister-in-law, was pregnant with a second child and it was an incredibly exciting announcement. We're all waiting eagerly to see if it's a boy or a girl, and his/her name will be.
To celebrate the New Year, we will head to Washington DC to spend a couple of weeks preparation with our "bosses" Daniel and Becky Haverkos. We're excited to have the time with them to continue to dream and talk about the vision and gear up for our January 15th departure back to Southern Africa! We're so excited to get back there, but this season has been so incredible that it will be hard to leave. It was hard to leave Tuscaloosa, but we'll be back eventually. We are blessed to be able to move forward and see what God has us in Phoenix!
